As a repository manager, I would like for RDE templates to be repository specific

I am currently an administrator for 20+ repositories. I would like each repository to be able to manage their own RDE templates without being able to see the templates other repositories have created.

Dev / Pri have reviewed this ticket on 1 Dec 2020 and it would like to have further information: how should the RDE templates appear? Should it apply to other templates and would it still be a requirement to have RDE templates that could be accessed globally in the system?

I think RDE templates could still be accessed globally, but with added repository headers in the RDE template drop-down menu. That would be enough to break up what will soon be a very long list. The header could be the repository’s Short Name.

Hi Brianna,

Could you please provide as much detail as possible regarding how you envision this functionality working?
Such as…
How should it appear?
Should it apply to other templates?

Thank you,
Dev Pri

I’m imagining something like this image where the dropdown list of templates are organized by repository, with each repositories short name bolded in a line above the templates. This menu could be accessed globally in case one repository wanted to use a template created by another.
