File Version URI display as actionable link if bare URI and wrapped URI

Description

The File URI field in File Versions on digital objects now requires that the URI be a bare URI, ie not wrapped in <a>. For compatibility with other external systems (e.g. Preservica) that do not currently honor the expected field data format, it would be nice for this field to accept the URI in both bare URI and wrapped in an <a> tag format and display the field as an actionable/clickable link in both cases.

Bare: https://dartmouth.access.preservica.com/archive/sdb%3AdeliverableUnit|f8ef0106-2387-4f1e-8b75-1a6baaf66839/

Wrapped: <a href="https://dartmouth.access.preservica.com/archive/sdb%3AdeliverableUnit|f8ef0106-2387-4f1e-8b75-1a6baaf66839/">https://dartmouth.access.preservica.com/archive/sdb%3AdeliverableUnit|f8ef0106-2387-4f1e-8b75-1a6baaf66839/<a>

This ought to be fixed by the external application, so labeling this as minor, nice to have as long as it does not conflict with other data structure requirements in AS.

Does anyone have a workaround for this, to batch edit digital object URIs after a Preservica ingest?

Dev-Pri looked at this ticket in our January meeting and decided to close it. Allowing more flexibility in this field could create problems in the future, and our developers were opposed to introducing changes to it. We recommend you bring the issue to Preservica to fix on their end.
