I am submitting this on behalf of a client who recently updated to 3.5.0. I also recreated the same behavior on the hosted 3.5.0 sandbox.

The site added a custom value, ‘Acquisition', to their Date Label controlled values list. When the summary of a collection record is viewed on the PUI, the custom data label displays as: translation missing: en.enumerations.date_label

When the collection record is opened into full view, no missing translation error displays. No errors display on the staff side, either.

When we changed the date label to 'creation,' the error stopped displaying. I also tried with a different existing date label to make sure that 'Creation' was not the only accepted value. The missing translation message only displays with a custom date label.
