As a repository manager or archivist, I want the listing of Active and Archived Background Jobs to have more useful information


From the Staff Interface Enhancement Working Group final recommendations:

  • Make the listing sortable and searchable

  • Reorder the columns

  • For reports and PDFs, be able to download the file that is produced

  • Be able to delete a job

  • Be able to restart a job

If taking the approach of adding background jobs to the index, this would be best to be done after the more general updates to how search/browse listings work which are currently in progress.

- great start on this! Love all the new filters. Here are some thoughts:

  • the Files column does not seem to resolve to the right place, even for newly run jobs

  • Being able to filter by the different data points of the audit info. is excellent, but Time Started/Time Completed and the audit info. do not all need columns. How difficult would it be to make what columns show preference-able?

  • Rather than having a column for Report Type, it would be better to have a column for Job Summary - something that lists the parameters for each job regardless of type (i.e. EAD import for [filename]; Assessment Rating report, Research Value 1,2,3)
