Unnecessary period included in 1xx and related 6xx fields in MARCXML export

A period is being inserted at the end of the subfield a in 1/6xx fields. See attached screenshot.

, I’m reviewing this for the development prioritization sub-team. Are you asking for the removal of periods at the end of all occurrences of subfield $a? It seems like that is sometimes the correct behavior, although not in the examples you gave.

 

Would it be more accurate to say that you’re asking for the export to follow the MARC input conventions for punctuation (https://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bdx10.html) for corporate names in 110, 610, 710, and 810 fields?
