Agenda / Minutes


  • Release delay announcement
    • Mark will send this out tomorrow; if anyone has any other feedback, let him know in the next 12 hours or so.
  • Updates from Bobbi / HM
    • AR-1300 inheritance:  we can change what's direct vs. indirect in the config file. yay, thanks, HM!  (we'll probably make extent an indirectly inherited element, in that case).
    • Digital object questions:  bring this up to the testing group tomorrow. let's make a matrix of all the possible values.
    • PUI now supports searching within collections (test that with testing group).
    • Request feature:  how do we set this up with windows / linux / etc.  maybe HM can look into this later?
    • PUI indexer.  Harvard's first repo has hundreds of thousands of archival objects (many are indexed, but it's not finishing there). HM will have to look into this the new year?  Bobbi can also just try to "unpublish" this repository and see what happens.
    • testing group will do an overview of the notes from digital objects and archival objects, and send to bobbi. 
    • related agents:  we need the displace name of related agent in the solr index.  HM?
  • Work that still needs to be started:
    • single-scroll view
    • offline viewing option (dynamically generated PDF file, or a link to a pre-generated PDF file)
    • container-only view (either HTML, or CSV download?)
    • updated content navigation (at the very least, show all descendants, as currently available in the PUI)
    • classification view (at the very least, add the same capatibility in the current PUI; better yet, include one page per classification/subclassifcation so those notes and/or linked agents will have a place to display).
    • solr/search updates (e.g. search with or without diacritics, highlighting if possible)
    • styling updates (on a really large monitor, it's odd to have a fluid frame around a fixed center... could just go with a really-wide fixed frame?; mobile looks good, aside from some facets/links not working for me)
    • any chance of putting the resources AND accessions into the Collections bucket? (adding a facet to distinguish between the two)
    • bookbag feature (but we can scrap this if need be, but it would be nice; check out how AtoM has implemented this, for instance)
    • the Aeon plugin, which Atlas will handle (we'll need to contact Atlas once the Request email feature is implemented)
  • Next meeting (when's the best time to re-group in 2017?)
