This section of the wiki is devoted to documenting the community supported initiatives ArchivesSpace is undertaking to support and amplify those that document and empower individuals, organizations and communities that work to make the world a more inclusive place.

These initiatives were developed from suggestions gathered from an initial Google document [link to doc] distributed to community members, Open Community Calls on Antiracism and Inclusion [link to just 24 notes] and a feedback form circulated to the archive community [link to that?].

Some ideas may be fairly simple to implement, others may require considerable cooperation and discussion across the community, including the involvement of the ArchivesSpace Governance Board.

The progress of these initiatives will be tracked in this section of the wiki. If you have questions about any ArchivesSpace Antiracism and Inclusion initiatives or would like to provide feedback, please email ArchivesSpaceHome@lyrasis.org

(should there be some sort of acknowledgement of the community like the thing below on this page?)

We're so proud that the ArchivesSpace community reflects many different kinds of archives, serving many different communities. We're so proud that our members range from entirely volunteer-run non-profit organizations to some of the largest academic archives in the world. We truly appreciate the many different viewpoints represented by the collections people manage in ArchivesSpace, and the many different viewpoints of the people who manage these collections in ArchivesSpace. We believe our community can become even richer by drawing in more viewpoints.
