(This document describes a JIRA voting process that took place in 2015 - it is no longer in place, but the information is left here for reference purposes and for consideration for future community prioritization processes)

Each ArchivesSpace member organization is entitled to one vote for each user story, which is to be cast by the organization’s member representative.  We encourage member representatives to review with other staff in their organization the user stories and vote according to the consensus of the group.

...

Once your account is established, casting a vote is simple. First, be sure that you've logged in to JIRA.* Then find a user story you want to vote on and review it in detail.  Some user stories may only have a caption / title, while others may include extensive description, comments from developers and users, and attached files, such as specification documents or email.  If you have a question about or a comment to a user story, please add it to the user story using the option for adding comments.

Once you have reviewed the user story and decided that implementing it is critical to your organization’s use of ArchivesSpace, click on the “Vote for this issue” option on the right hand side of the user story record:

...

While you are voting for issues, you may also indicate that you want to watch the progress of any user story simply by clicking on the “Start watching this issue” option that occurs directly underneath the voting option.  As with the voting option, you can stop watching a user story by clicking on the “Stop watching this issue” option (which replaces the option “Start watching this issue”).
