  • Workload: The workload of the Chair position can vary throughout the year, depending on the needs of TAC, its sub-teams and members. The first 3 months of a new term will typically require an increased time commitment to orient new TAC members and assign sub-teams in collaboration with UAC leadership.
  • Responsibilities:The TAC Chair has primary responsibility for coordinating the work of the TAC and communicating with stakeholders. This includes
    • Leading and facilitating TAC meetings.
    • Welcoming and orienting new appointees to the TAC. (See Onboarding new TAC members)
    • Maintaining documentation and rosters of the TAC on the wiki.
    • Assigning TAC members to sub-teams. 
    • Creating ad hoc working groups and initiating or sunsetting subteams in order to accomplish the work of the TAC.
    • Working with the TAC Board liaison to represent the TAC to the ArchivesSpace Governance Board.
    • Collaborating with the ArchivesSpace Program Manager and ArchivesSpace Governance Board to accomplish program initiatives by way of TAC/UAC Coordinating Committee meetings.
    • Preparing quarterly and annual reports summarizing the activities of the Council and subteams to the Governance Board. (Reports are drafted jointly with UAC in the Councils' Google Drive and final version is made available on Joint Quarterly Reports.)
    • Serving on the Nominating Committee.
