Talking about your Council service

Activity in breakout rooms: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UB_puYLhblRmwWroWWpUnRklZR_g37yp8h-WfZAl_mw/edit

  • Come out of today with a concrete reference resource to increase the visibility of your Council service at your home institution, explain its significance, and/or identify ways in which it supports your career growth.

  • Breakout rooms will be mix of silent reflection, small group discussion, and writing exercise.

  • When we return to main Zoom room:

    • 1-2 ideas from your conversations that stood out to you?

      • Council service provides inside track to work of ArchivesSpace (could be seen as unfair to rest of community)

      • Testing brings familiarity with different and new aspects of ArchivesSpace

      • Can more effectively communicate ArchivesSpace information to colleagues at home institution

    • An idea of how you might use this in your day job.

    • An example of one of your impact statements.

  • A sampling of impact statements (anonymized if necessary) will be compiled and published on the Wiki as an ongoing resource.
