  • next steps?

Minutes:

  • The new test corpus site is almost up-to-date with the old test corpus.  Mark still needs to upload the one LoC finding aid, but that's it.
  • Mark talked with Gary Geisler from Stanford about the ArcLight project, https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/hydra/ArcLight+Design+Process (they are in the "Information Architecture" phase of development right now, but we'll plan to stay in touch about both projects due to their similarities)
  • Melissa provided an updated on our accessibility audit process:
    • We've got quotes from two firms now, though the third has yet to respond.  One is ready to start work in early September / the other in mid-October.
    • We decided on the call to arrange a meeting with the firm that can start in early September (update:  Melissa has set the meeting up; Melissa, Mark, and Susan will be meeting at 3:30 p.m. on August 31st with that firm...  anyone else have questions to provide, or would like to join?)
    • It's likely we'll need a minimum of two consultations during the development process
  • We talked repositories, and it was decided that a "publish" flag should be added to repositories so that users could suppress repositories from the public interface when needed (e.g. when using a repository as a separate project space).  Additionally, this will allow the "global" repository to be set to unpublished, which means that Bobbi won't have to implement an "N - 1" hack to come up with the number of repositories to display in the public interface.
  • We'll resume testing the week of September 5th
  • Next meeting:  September 6th, same time.

Action Items:

  • Mark will upload the LoC finding aid into the test corpus
  • Susan will send Mark Kate Bower's "kitchen sink" file so that we can add it to the test corpus
  • Melissa will schedule a meeting with the accessibility firm that can start work in September to discuss options, etc.
  • Susan and Bobbi will talk about notes, since Bobbi is working on resource/archival component displays right now.
  • Mark will add a slot to discuss "usability testing" to the next agenda
  • HM will look into seeing how best to add a "publish" flag to repository records in ASpace.
