Minutes

• The group discusses the GitHub publication of ArchivesSpace 2.1.0 release candidate 1.
  • As a stop-gap measure, Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed) was able to make all of the reports work, with the exception of the restricted resources report, which had to be removed.
  • The subteam will need to test the reports to make sure all data is consistent across exports.
  • Moving forward, reports will require a full re-factoring. Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed) will be able to make reports her top development priority until September 2018.
• The group discussed several options for increasing the ability of members of the group to test reports 
  • Test against an installation of ArchivesSpace set up with a mysqldump of local repository data.
  • Build a common repository of data in test.archivesspace.org to be maintained by LYRASIS as the test server is rebuilt.
• The group also discussed the need for members of the subteam to be able to view the backend data using Navicat, MySQL Workbench, phpMyAdmin, or similar in order to build report definitions for future development. All members present agreed that they could make these arrangements locally.
• The group decided that Alston Cobourn (Unlicensed), Nikki Thomas, Jasmine Jones (Unlicensed) will build out content a Reports Subteam Testing repository at test.archivesspace.org. Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed) will ensure that this data is as new versions of ArchivesSpace are installed on the test server.
• The group decided that for ArchivesSpace v2.1.0-RC1 testing, Carolyn Runyon and Nancy Enneking will divide and test the reports, submitting JIRA tickets for any issues to be addressed before the candidate is fully released.
