2025-2026 Techdocs Work Plan
Goals
Maintain ArchivesSpace technical documentation in tech-docs GitHub repository and Awesome ArchivesSpace GitHub repository.
Solicit feedback and contributions from the community.
Perform outreach and make ArchivesSpace community aware of TechDocs.
Specific Tasks or Projects
Ongoing/Recurring Tasks
Review pull requests and issues in Awesome ArchivesSpace repository and add new resources.
Monitor listserv, linking to relevant portions of documentation in listserv responses or encouraging the community to submit GitHub issues regarding documentation.
Review techdocs website to identify where further clarity is needed and where examples could be improved, creating Jira tickets to manage these updates.
For minor ArchivesSpace releases, review release notes and provide edits/suggested changes to developers.

New Projects for This Term
Create documentation for onboarding new members, including how to complete tasks such as submitting pull requests to the TechDocs GitHub repository.
Identify and implement strategies to encourage the ArchivesSpace community to actively use and update techdocs and Awesome ArchivesSpace.
Investigate what a changelog page on techdocs would look like, and draft a template.
Explore the possibility of working with the User Documentation sub-team to identify opportunities for collaboration.
Present on sub-team’s activities at virtual member forum. (Spring 2026).
