2025-2026 Techdocs Work Plan Progress Updates

• https://archivesspace.atlassian.net/browse/TD-24: Updates from Bonnie and Michelle

  • Brian submitted comments in the PR and says this looks good and can be merged into Main and then changed overtime.

  • Bonnie will address contributor expectations in text to forewarn they might encounter errors.

  • Michelle to set up coworking time with @Alexander Duryee so both can have dedicated work time.

  • Alex updated and added details to draft. Group recommended moving Breaking Changes to the top of the document due to the substantial implications of these. Additionally a suggestion was made to add information about the changes to how languages are exported.

  • Possible placement in the Upgrading section under administration.

• Outreach to User Documentation: Updates from @Corey Schmidt

  • Corey - Haven’t reached out yet due to uncertainty of work status due to the government shutdown. I plan on making this a priority once we return.

  • Updated TD-44 to assign to Thimios for building out default-config.rb file documentation first, then can update the TechDocs Configuration page once that’s completed. More info listed in my latest comment in TD-44.

    • Ongoing work to address here as time permits.
