VS Code Demo from @Bonnie Gordon

• Focusing on how Bonnie has set up linting and other useful features.

• VS Code is free, lots of extensions, terminal, ignore Co-pilot

• Source control - how you create and manage branches

• Extensions

  • Prettier and Stylelint - use for cleaning up the code via a pre-existing format rules.

  • Settings for VS Code - Format a file on Save setting checked. So every time you save, it will automatically format.

• Stage change - git add git remove

• Many times get a failure on Prettier in PR for techdocs website. Do you avoid command line fix with Prettier?

  • Yes, with the autoformatting, this will help prevent errors.
