Planning Team Open-Ended Discussion

• Planning Team Toolkit - includes templates used and narrative of timelines, who, and when for different stages

• Continue:

  • Icebreakers

  • Keep reaching out to people that could provide a “part II”

• Pain points:

  • Transitions management between steps

  • Difficulty of building agenda when proposals roll-in later (close to deadline)

  • Self-selected agenda slots may not be compatible with “tracked” sessions, though it might be possible to leverage the wiki

• Suggestions:

  • Obtain pronunciation guides for speakers' names in advance

  • Use Airtable or project management tool to keep timelines visual, track, and automate notifications (especially when submissions have come in)

  • More presenter navigators/communicators to be assigned to a specific session vs. a specific task
