Our nomination process has been an extended one, as we received several strong nominations from which we could select only two candidates for our election ballot.
I regret to report that following our extended discussions, the current Board has approved two other candidates for the ballot, which will be announced next week. A number of criteria were factored into the decision, including institutional and geographic diversity with respect to the composition of the board as a whole.
Please be assured that everyone involved in the nomination process was appreciative of your interest and willingness to serve. We hope that you will consider a nomination in future years, and will continue your personal engagement with the ArchivesSpace community in other ways.
