Add config options to staff interface

Description

Hosted repositories and archivists who may not have the technical skills are not easily able to adjust basic configurable options since they wouldn't have access to the back end config files. This ticket is intended to pull together a list of config options that should be built into the staff interface for users in the System Administrator (and maybe Repository Manager?) permission level.
Functions (please feel free to add more in the comments!):

  1. Add and change theming/brand icon

  2. Add and change PDF icon

Dev-Pri looked at this ticket in our November meeting and decided to pass this on for development. We like 's list from Usability. Anything in the config file needs root access to modify, so we recommend removing the items in this list from config entirely.

The Usability Sub-team took a look at this issue in June 2021. We agree that removing some options from the configuration files to the staff interface would lower technical barriers for many institutions. Without knowing the complexity of moving things from the config file to the staff interface we’ve identified the following features as being those most likely of interest to the user community. We recommend evaluation by TAC and then Usability would seek additional community feedback.

PUI

  1. Adding/changing theming and branding

  2. Search page results size (number that appear per page)

  3. Determine which tabs appears (ie, digital materials, record groups, subjects etc)

  4. Determine whether request button displays

  5. Enable/disable citation button

  6. Change length of scope and contents note

  7. Override feedback link

  8. Inheritance (is complicated in config files so also probably difficult to put in staff interface)

  9. Hide container inventory pill box/tab

  10. Enable/disable search in collection on sidebar

  11. Determine where request button appears (at what level)

Staff Interface

  1. Extent calculator (determine how extents are calculated-linear feet, cubic feet)

  2. Change number of records that appear
