Scalable logos for Staff Web Page and Public PDFs

Description

Logo files for the Public web pages automatically scale to fit in the top header. This lets customers use high-res images that look great even when zoomed in.

We’d like to request this kind of functionality be added to the Staff pages. We’ve noticed that you can define Staff logo in the config.rb now but it has to be a low-res image otherwise it takes over the page.

The same is true of the Public PDFs. You can define an image but can not size it. You have to use a smaller image that ends up looking pixilated. High-res images fall off the page.

The manual scaling done in the Staff PDF is preferable. We use a high-resolution image and set it to scale to 55%.

The scaling logo functionality seems to be working on both PUI and SUI. Is that something that you have fixed in between ?

closing this ticket as the images are at this point being scaled properly in all places (Web pages and pdf generated files on SUI and PUI) except for the pdf files generated on the SUI, which will be fixed as part of

  • Regarding the sentence: “The manual scaling done in the Staff PDF is preferable. We use a high-resolution image and set it to scale to 55%.”

    • Currently the system does not do any kind of scaling of the logo image when generating the Staff pdf. on the staff PDF the logo image is presented in its original dimensions.

    • Currently the system does indeed scale the logo image to a specific small size fitting to the upper left page corner when generating the PUI pdf

    • Does the sentence “The manual scaling done in the Staff PDF is preferable.” mean that actually it is preferable not to do any kind of scaling when generating the PUI pdf and just present the logo image in its original dimensions as it currently happens when generating the pdf on the Staff UI?
