Tested with a local instance. Appears to work as intended.

The screenshot represents an implementation in Blacklight that Brian thought was not easily adaptable to ArchivesSpace. We directed Manny to implement this as a configuration instead to at least provide the possibility of changing the way facets are sorted in an implementation’s PUI.

I still need to test this, but the feature request seems to indicate that this should be a change on a per user ad-hoc basis in the PUI. Since this is an either/or config setting, wondering if this meets the feature request needs?

Yes, @Lydia Tang: the request for this feature still stands. The "a-to-z.png" image shows how this is handled in Blacklight. There, facets are sorted numerically based on count, as in ASpace, but the user also has the option to sort facets alphabetically. So, the key word in this ticket's title is "Allow". The sort should not start off as A to Z, and it shouldn't be the only option. Let me know if I should add a better description to the ticket.
