About:
The Migration Sub-team ensures successful migration from Archivists Toolkit and Archon to ArchivesSpace for members and non-members through testing, support, documentation, bug fixes and enhancement prioritization. The sub-team also tests import and export of various formats to ensure successful "migration" of legacy data not in AT or Archonmigration sub-team is responsible for overseeing, revising, and documenting the ArchivesSpace importers and exporters used for migrating XML-formatted data such as EAD, EAC, MARCXML, etc. into and out of the ArchivesSpace application. Members of this sub-team will be expected to test importers/exporters, modify them as needed, update data maps, and explore implementing additional import / export pathways such as EAD3. In 2015/16, the migration sub-team will also become responsible for supporting migration of Archon and Archivists' Toolkit data into ArchivesSpace. This work will involve assisting organizations that are migrating their AT or Archon data and indicating to ArchivesSpace developers how migration scripts might need to be revised.
