Charge and membership, as established at 2014/03-17 BoT meeting
The Role of the Nominating Committee will be to administer the process of electing members to the Board of Trustees and appointing members to the Technical and User Advisory councils. That role entails calling for nominations, conducting elections for trustees and announcing winners to the Trustees, assessing nominations for councils and recommending appointees to the Trustees, and confirming appointments with appointees.
The Nominating Committee will begin its work immediately after the Spring Board of Trustees meeting (April) and conclude it by June 15 of the same year. The Nominating Committee will formally report results at the Summer Board of Trustees meeting (July).
The Nominating Committee will be appointed in the first meeting of each year and will consist of the following members:
- Chair of the Board of Trustees
- Chair of the Technical Advisory Council
- Chair of the User Advisory Council
- At large member representing the Very Large and Large membership levels
- At large member representing the Medium, Small, and Very Small membership levels.
- ArchivesSpace Program Manager, ex officio
The Chair of the Board of Trustees will be the Chair of the Nominating Committee.
