File MARC Import Tickets
How do we want to push out information for the MARC import mappings?
Static Excel file is on the ArchivesSpace website - is there a different way by which we might share these?
Perhaps remind people that they exist, and that they are there
Is there a way to make a page within the Confluence public?
One can embed Google Sheets viewers into pages
We can update things and have them be in real time
The pages are publicly accessible for the Technical Advisory Committee
If we were to move the spreadsheet into Confluence, who else needs to be informed
The Program Team maintains the website, we are just linking out to it
It’s not a problem if we link to Sheets, there is no authorization
There is a Google Drive area for the TAC, we just want to ensure that the Sheet will have restricted permissions
We want to ensure that versioning is enabled for the Google Doc
James will take on the documentation, just have a place where we can more easily update these
There was a last updated field which we have not changed, and this needs to be removed
Put that versioning in at the record level rather than the document level
Maybe move this down to each field we didn’t get to, and indicate “not reviewed since”
We have an Import/Export Mapping Confluence Page
Published updated MARC import mappings
EAD import mappings
Few have focused upon this
Indicate “last updated on this date” in a field level
Retrospective Review
We should probably have a paragraph by the next time we meet
Perhaps look to start an e-mail thread to draft this
MARC Import Bugs
Kevin posted 520 bug
Posted to the mailing list addressing MARC 555 and 856 subfields
Given the lack of response, perhaps file a ticket, even if there is not immediate work
