Subteam page updating to include skills list

Major activities of Subteam (needs updating to remove screencast and migration responsibilities):

  • Update and maintain ArchivesSpace help center pages

  • Create help center documentation for newly developed ArchivesSpace functionality

Skills needed:

  • Ability to present accurate information in a clear, well-organized manner for a general archival audience

  • Ability to analyze documentation and identify incorrect and missing information

  • Willingness to explore unfamiliar ArchivesSpace functionalities

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Ability to collaborate with team members and willingness to provide feedback

  • Ability to manage workload to meet assigned deadlines

  • Experience using or willingness to learn how to use Confluence

Accomplishments:

  • Created new documentation for Agents to reflect large-scale changes to agent records in version 3.0

  • Began a systematic review of help center pages, reviewing and updating all documentation in the Accessioning and ArchivesSpace Basics sections of the manual

  • Finalized style guide for help center pages

  • Finalized procedural guidelines for updating help center pages

  • Began discussions on how to manage work relating to the systematic review of the help center pages

  • Began discussions on how to record ideas for future projects

 

Priorities for next term:

  • Create new and update existing documentation as part of new version releases or user feedback

  • Check in on Accession and Basics page editing to identify any outstanding work

  • Google Sheets for review tracking. Would allow for sorting of the data/information that is being tracked in the spreadsheet.

  • In Confluence perhaps we should have a parking lot for issues that arise while updating the manual.
