Attempt to clarify group's responsibility for maintaining migration scripts and providing migration support.

• No real changes suggested. We are going to leave it up for a few more days for further input then post to the Wiki.

• There is a newish statement on the page mentioning Migration sub-team as a possible resource for migration help. Noah has received at least one referral through this page. Emails go to Christine and she forwards to Noah. Noah will distribute to group as necessary. Should the migrations page also mention service providers? Perhaps we could discuss in TAC call.

Recap discussion on user list re: post-migration security and password management issues. Make recommendations

• Archon tool creates admin user with no password, migrates existing users with default password.
• AT migration tool creates asadmin user and also prompts you to supply default password for all migrated users. If using LDAP configuration, users can login with LDAP as well as default password (at least this is the case at Duke).

Recommendations:

• Documentation being upgraded by Phillip Suda (Unlicensed) and Christopher Prom (Unlicensed)
• Review AT migration documentation to make sure user and password migration info is clear and accurate
• Remind users that they should review and update user accounts and passwords post-migration before going live. See Mark Custer's post on the list.
