20 min | Discussion proposed for the April TAC meeting | Christine and Sarit discussed the “Categories Across Pages” document and made some revisions. It’s important the categories be both meaningful and clear. We discussed that the Integrations section on the wiki is the only area for which the Integrations sub-team has responsibility. Christine has promoted it on the sidebar so that it’s no longer part of Community Generated Resources. We discussed the audience for these pages and the survey. People working on integrations generally have a higher level of ArchivesSpace or technical knowledge than the community overall. They do not need to be written for novices. While the survey will be a useful information gathering tool, it is likely that survey responses will need some level of follow up and/or interpretation from the sub-team. While it’s good to limit open-ended questions, the survey should still be kept simple with the expectation that follow ups with responders may be needed. Christine will seek clarity about “Type” (i.e. Read/Write Transfer) from the people who wrote the What are Integrations? page originally. We discussed that surveys are often sent out to audiences that may not be existing ArchivesSpace users, and certainly audiences that aren’t ArchivesSpace members. These include the listserv for the Collection Management section of SAA and listservs for other professional groups in which participants are involved.
