Documentation writers' survey

Survey draft (additions and comments welcome!); Kevin will send a link to Susan and Jamie so they can get into the wiki. People should take a look at why we want people to be able write their own documentations. Then a survey will be sent out to the users. Ashley and Kevin might ask the development team (if they are on the call tomorrow) how often this needs to be updated (e.g. weekly or monthly). Kevin will forward an email to the group re. the beginning of March there will be a new community engagement coordinator. They will be looking at the documentation and deciding logistics about updates. After February this should move pretty quickly. Kevin said this does not need to edited today but that we should add any formatting changes, etc. 

Things to look for: Are there any features in the application that we need to write documentation for? We might need to update screenshots. We will set up a wiki page for the docs review. It will be good to have a separate document for each section. Kevin will set up a separate section for our space in the wiki and we can build as we go. There is no deadline for this but we will try to have it drafted by the end of March. We will want to work closely with the new community engagement coordinator on this. Kevin will assign each member a section or two, but we can be flexible with this. This will be sent out later this afternoon.


Any questions for the Technical Advisory Council?

Jasmine asked about the API and more technical aspects and how the two groups (documentation sub team and technical) can better coordinate. Kevin thought that it might get to be too much to add a lot of technical documentation. Ashley asked about adding this item to the agenda for tomorrow. She said she is going to send out a reminder about the meeting tomorrow with a link to the agenda for tomorrow. 

Ashley mentioned that there is a small institution group that is currently forming as well and we might collaborate with them. 

Kevin asked if there was any other business. No comments. Meeting adjourned at at 12:38pm.
