Charge

The charge of the Usability Subteam is to develop functional and practical recommendations to the program that streamline navigation, clarify the visual layout, identify accessibility improvements, and enhance the ease of use of the existing program for both the staff and public interface of the ArchivesSpace software application.

Accomplishments

  • Met monthly during the 2022-2023 term

  • Reviewed tickets assigned by the Development Prioritization Subteam

  • Gathered community feedback on integration of bulk updater plug-in

Leadership and Roster Change

  • January 2023 – Change in sub-team leadership (Althea Topek’s departure from UAC; Cory Nimer to lead for the remaining term)

Future Priorities

  • Multi-lingual finding aid description and display

  • Review of Jira tickets on usability issues as assigned by Development Prioritization Subteam

  • Review of Jira tickets listed as Awaiting More Information due to usability questions
