What went well? What should we keep doing?
Deliberate pace of setting up the metadata mappings should provide a strong foundation for future work on these.
Discussion around what data standards to support, and to what level, was also fruitful.
Monthly review of JIRA tickets with the metadata tag seems like a good way to keep such tickets moving.
How could we improve? What should we start doing?
It's a perennial problem that it's very hard to make time for this work. Some deadlines (even soft ones) could be helpful.
Even tighter scoping of the work plan might help here too.
I (Kevin) think automated maintenance of the metadata mappings (some sort of code-based output, or some unit testing) would be worthwhile.
