What went well? What should we keep doing?

  • Deliberate pace of setting up the metadata mappings should provide a strong foundation for future work on these.

  • Discussion around what data standards to support, and to what level, was also fruitful.

  • Monthly review of JIRA tickets with the metadata tag seems like a good way to keep such tickets moving.

How could we improve? What should we start doing?

  • It's a perennial problem that it's very hard to make time for this work.  Some deadlines (even soft ones) could be helpful.

  • Even tighter scoping of the work plan might help here too.

  • I (Kevin) think automated maintenance of the metadata mappings (some sort of code-based output, or some unit testing) would be worthwhile.
