About This Handbook

The ArchivesSpace Councils Handbook is an evolving resource meant to bring together information about the ASpace Councils themselves -- their roles and activities – as well as practical guidance and resources available for the nuts and bolts of council work. The intended audience is anyone interested in council work, but specifically council members and those members in leadership roles (Chairs and Vice Chairs, Subteam Leads and Vice Leads).

The Handbook is introduced in Council Orientation but is intended to be a perpetual resource available for reference throughout your time on councils.

If you are a New Member, we encourage you to read as much of the Handbook as you are comfortable with in order to note the types of information and the resources available. New Members will have less concern with the pages related to https://archivesspace.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AC/pages/3137994764 , but may still wish to review that information.

Continuing members should re-visit the Handbook to reference topics as needed.
