Minutes

• Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed) is working on repair the code for several subreports so that the existing reports in ArchivesSpace v. 2.0.1 export the same data regardless of format.
• Once this work is accomplished, the group discussed removing several reports that were identified for removal earlier this year in the Reports Subteam Recommendations for 2017 March Release. Existing reports that should be replaced with new reports will remain until the new reports are created. Alston Cobourn (Unlicensed) submitted a JIRA to have the extraneous reports removed.
• Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed) will work on creating a new Shelflist Report based on the report definition drafted for the 2017 March release. Carolyn Runyon submitted a JIRA ticket to create the new Shelflist Report.
  • At Lydia Tang (Unlicensed)'s suggestion, the group decided to use the comments feature of JIRA tickets to track questions and comments about specific reports definitions.
  • At Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed)'s suggestion, the group agreed to submit JIRA for new reports and new report functionalities to be published in the ArchivesSpace New Workflow project.
• Once work is finished the Shelflist Report, the group will review Archives Reports Module document drafted earlier this year.
• The report export formats in ArchivesSpace v 2.0.1 are JSON, CSV, XLSX, HTML, and PDF. The group agreed that XLSX exports are extraneous and that the addition of an RTF export is advisable. The group will await feedback from Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed) on HTML and PDF formats. If they are difficult to build, the group may ask the community for use cases to determine if it is advisable to remove those options.
  • Carolyn Runyon submitted a JIRA ticket to remove the XLXS export option.
  • Carolyn Runyon submitted a JIRA ticket to add an RTF export option.
• The group discussed an interface for filtering and previewing reports before export. Meeting participants reviewed the ArchivesSpace Reports Module Pre-Defined Reports User Interface draft, and Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed) suggested the addition of the ability to preview reports before exporting them.
