  • Attendees: Sally suggests opening meeting to departing and incoming members. Group agrees.
  • Topics/Agenda items for potential discussion:
    • Overview of roles and functions of the sub-teams. Should there be some new ones or should they be refocused? Should there be other tweaks in terms of structure?
10 minProgram update

Program team is very active!

  • Preparing for 2.1 release, including production ready PUI, OAI-PHM provider, rights management enhancements, backend improvements.
  • Distributed an updated version of roadmap on 5/15/2017.
  • Interested in finding other development partners
  • Next big specification is review of agents module. This spec should be ready for community feedback later this week. Fuller support for EAC-CPF and transmission of agents to external authority databases.
  • Looking to update staff interface; potential project down the road. They are hoping some of the work from public interface be applied to the staff interface. Will send out a call for interested parties.
  • Taking steps to make ASpace easier to install, especially for smaller institutions. But this would help everyone.
  • Interviewing for next community engagement coordinator.
  • Planning of member forum to be held in conjunction with SAA in Portland. Workshops are squared away, but we have room for a few presenters in the afternoon. If anyone is interested, get in touch with Christine Di Bella.

Sally acknowledges and thanks departing members of TAC: Esmé Cowles (Unlicensed), Michael Vandermillen (Unlicensed), Noah Huffman (Deactivated), and Christopher Prom (Unlicensed).

15 minCommitter Oversight sub-team update

Laney sent out an email this morning to the initial group: Dave Mayo (Unlicensed), Steve Majewski (Unlicensed), Mark Cooper (Unlicensed), Lora Davis from JHU and Esha Datta from NYU and Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed).

Laney notes that Github was reorganized, but she would like to add in some instructions for how to move the plugins over. Committers will move over the plug ins to help them get familiar with new organization and to give them an opportunity to provide feedback to Laney.

Technical documentation sub-team update

No update since last meeting, same priorities in place (how to contribute to existing documentation).

Dev Prioritization sub-team update

Jason Loeffler (Unlicensed) or another member of the team

Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed) reports that we are looking at a new JIRA workflow process. Prioritization was put on hold until we know the process works; goal is to make it easier for people to track progress of tickets. Laney created a 'waiting prioritization' status so people know exactly what should be prioritized at each meeting.
Testing sub-team update

Miloche Kottman has been sitting in bi-weekly conference calls with the Public Interface testers group.  For the June release, we’ll be testing not only the client but the PUI as well. June release testing dates have not been set.

Migration sub-team updateOngoing work related to export specifications; EAD3 export map has been developed and Christine Di Bella commented on it. Sent message today about MODS and DC export specifications; MARC-XML specification being worked on by Francis ?? from Yale.
Integrations sub-team updateWill be providing links to integrations projects on main ArchivesSpace website to they are more visible. Potential projects related to Islandora and Rosetta.

Next meeting time

tbd - hopefully alongside SAA
