Topic: Using the Load via Spreadsheet function in ArchivesSpace
Over the next year, the Trainers Corps will offer regularly scheduled trainings and office hours covering a variety of topics on all things ArchivesSpace. How to use the “Load via Spreadsheet” functionality in ArchivesSpace | Brittany Newberry, Atlanta University Center | Brittany demonstrated how to download the load via spreadsheet templates at You can find the templates for load via spreadsheet and all other import templates at https://archivesspace.org/using-archivesspace/migration-tools-and-data-mapping Brittany demonstrated how to load via spreadsheet via ArchivesSpace. For ArchivesSpace members, there is documentation about using this functionality at https://archivesspace.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ArchivesSpaceUserManual/pages/1173913646 Brittany also demonstrated the ability to upload and link container profiles through load via spreadsheet (as of v3.0). Q&A | Everyone | If you would like to use other import templates available at , these will need to be invoked as background jobs, not through Load Via Spreadsheet. Keep in mind that they load via spreadsheet archival object template contains LOTS of fields, but it doesn’t contain all fields. Some fields have default settings that you may need to change after the fact. Specifically note label is one field that does not appear. |
