Member Engagement 2022-2023 Retrospective

  • Accomplishments from this term

    • Completed Member Match Program

      • Held three quarterly events:

        • 2 Tips and Tricks

        • Collaborated with DevPri where Dan Michaelson provided a great presentation which facilitated lots of discussion and engagement with the more technical side of ArchivesSpace

      • Used the listserv for the Member Match program for discussion questions

      • Solicited feedback from program participants via end of year feedback form

    • Launched next year of Member Match, 2023-2024

      • Improved match making workflow based on feedback

      • Brainstormed ideas to improve the program next year

    • Published “Making the Case for ArchivesSpace” document

  • Challenges from this term

    • Struggled to keep up with listserv discussion questions, all members forgot at least once

      • Program participants did not engage with the discussions

    • Retention challenges as both the lead and vice lead resigned

    • Organizational issues, keeping on track with work plan

  • Priorities for next term

    • Continue Member Match program

      • Plan and implement a calendar of events/activities/discussion questions

      • Document outcomes, including keeping data on participation

      • Assess and make changes as needed

    • Expand listserv discussions, increase participant engagement

    • Collaborate with at least one UAC sub-team on a quarterly event

    • Explore sub-team’s role in Code of Conduct violations

  • Leadership assignments for next term

    • Bailey and Patrick resigned from the sub-team

    • Mary will serve as lead
