Working on a point release (4.0.1) to fix some bugs that have emerged. Among these are issues with title tags, search highlighting surfacing some things that don’t have or don’t need translations. No ETA for this release yet but that should come soon.

ArchivesSpace Development Roadmap

Overview of distributed roles for development planning – including the Governance Board, the community, DevPri, program team, and developers

The roadmap is one among many avenues of communication with the ArchivesSpace community (including tickets, community announcements, conversations in person and via places such as the Users Group list). Prioritizes user-facing features as well as infrastructure.

Demo of the interactive roadmap. Uses a Kanban-like feature in Jira with lists of cards; each card has a description and one or more goals that reflect community values expressed through the card task. Each card task/project can have individual Jira tickets linked to it, to track progress and show how different requests are linked to the larger strategy for ArchivesSpace.

Tasks are organized by when they are expected to be released. Some are confirmed for an upcoming release; some are being actively implemented; the “Next” column will be targeted upon completion of the current tasks but the information required to implement them is on hand; the “Later” column includes tasks that are desired but for which more information or research is required, or resources have not yet been allocated to them.

Board is sortable by Delivery Status, so that it’s possible to track how far along a card/task is toward completion based on the status of the Jira tickets assigned to it.
