• Annual Forum registration opens this week - both in-person (August 24) and virtual (2-weeks before in-person).

  • Reviewed 110 tickets

  • Established procedure for Dev Pri members to rewrite tickets when needed to facilitate development

  • Hosted an "Ask Us Anything" session at the Virtual Member Forum to demystify Dev Pri activities and encourage the creation of actionable tickets

  • Improved for next term: communication between subteams. Usability and metadata standards; grouping tickets by theme

  • Supported user community through ongoing ticket review/ticket creation and gathering feedback from the community via the listserv.

  • Engaging with the user community through presentations at the Virtual Forum and informal discussion at Member Match Mixer.

  • Regular collaboration with Lyrasis staff/developers and the ArchivesSpace Program Manager during our monthly meetings proved incredibly valuable, offering both practical support and insight.

• Technical Documentation: 2024-2025 Techdocs Retrospective

  • Supported the move to Astro for TechDocs website; re-examined charge and created Jira board for issue tracking; monitoring community through listserv and Slack spaces.

  • Would like to increase engagement with Awesome ArchivesSpace, improve GitHub workflow documentation, and enhance communication between meetings.

  • Priorities for next term include: creating documentation for on-boarding new members; continue to build out TechDocs website content; encourage community use of Awesome ArchivesSpace and TechDocs; build a changelog page for comprehensive record of new ArchivesSpace releases; explore working with User Documentation sub-team for collaboration.

• Testing: 2024-2025 Testing Retrospective

  • Takeaways: Working sessions help carve out time for work while allowing members flexibility in their schedule

  • Tested 33 specific Jira issues and did 1 round of full regression testing for 4.0.0

  • The Conditional Statement work will need to be tested out to determine its usefulness in future rounds of regression testing.

• What happens next?

  • Take a break! - no TAC meeting in July

  • Sub-team leads/vice leads will contribute to one last quarterly report for the term

  • Regine will be in touch to let incoming sub-team leads know about new member assignments

• Next term:

  • It’s never too early to start thinking about next term.

  • Incoming sub-team leads in particular may want to review the Yearly Timeline of Council Activities and Guidelines for ArchivesSpace Council Sub-Teams

  • Orientation for new members will be held sometime in July.

  • Next monthly TAC meeting will probably be in August, exact date TBD. Expect a poll to be sent.

  • Next term’s workplan is due in September. You can decide to start work in July or August as long as you keep that deadline in mind.

  • Consider keeping the same meeting times next term, since that slot is already on your schedule.
