Our nomination process has been an extended one, as we received more nominations for the (Technical / User) Advisory Council than we have vacancies available to fill.

I regret to report that following our extended discussions, the Governance Board has offered appointments to other nominees. A number of criteria were factored into the decision, including institutional and geographic diversity with respect to the composition of the council as a whole. The new members of the (Technical / User) Advisory Council will be included in announcements concerning the results Governance Board elections and Council appointments around the end of June.

Please be assured that everyone involved in the nomination process was appreciative of your interest and willingness to serve. We hope that you will consider a nomination again in future years, and will continue your personal engagement with the ArchivesSpace community in other ways.
