  • Committer Oversight reviewed locations management code developed by Hudson Molonglo
  • Sally confirmed HM found the feedback very useful and incorporated suggested changes into their code
  • It is unclear whether the location management changes will be merged / made available in v.1.5 or in a later release
Technical documentation sub-team update
  • FAQ - potential topics list created and available on sub-team's wiki page

  • Group is meeting 3 times in May to do backlog grooming. They are going epic by epic, starting with Accessions and Resources, reviewing each story and adding clarifying details in comments and/or deciding where further detail is required from requestor.
Testing sub-team updateEd Busch
  • Haven't met due to lack of development work happening.
Migration sub-team update
  • Group has continued to provide assistance on listservs and in individual peer-to-peer conversations. Have recently helped the Smithsonian. Phillip Suda (Unlicensed) has provided a lot of assistance.
  • Mark Custer has spec-ed some EAD importer changes to the default publication status logic, group reviewed those.
  • Former user (Deleted) has developed a schematron for import validation, they are testing that and will work on a spec to include in core application.
  • Group has also brainstormed what is likely to be required to support EAD 3 - this will be a focus for the next several months.
Bug Wrangler sub-team update
  • Hasn't met, waiting for stable v.1.5 release to come out.
Integrations sub-team update
  • Received information about 2 new ArchivesSpace integrations; one from CalTech for a ArchivesSpace wrapper and one from Hillel Arnold for StaticAid. Group will update integrations page and communicate about the additions soon.
  • Have reviewed at integration use cases for Hydra and plan to collaborate with Hydra Archivists Interest Group to work though what a couple of concrete integration points may be.
  • University of Michigan holding an Aeon Users Group meeting in June, where ArchivesSpace integrations will be discussed
  • NYU is formulating tentative plans to create a link from Internet Archive to related archival via ASpace API as part of its Archiving the websites of Contemporary Composers Project - early design discussions are underway so details tbc.
