UAC Updates

It’s been awhile! UAC was off in April.

Strong number of nominations for UAC this Spring

UAC Vice Chair needed for next term. The Board can approve an extension to a UAC term if a member is interested becoming Vice Chair but their term is due to end.

Program Update

  • Currently reviewing feedback on 3.4.0-RC. There are a number of changes on Digital Objects.

  • Announcements about an in-person forum at SAA in July will shortly be going out. Also looking at planning a virtual event the week prior to this.

  • Will be attending the UK Archives and Records Association conference in Belfast for the first time in August.

Things to do by next meeting:

  • Identify Vice Lead for next term

  • Complete sub-team retrospective (add as separate page to wiki-link to June agenda)

  • Tie up projects/make sure documents are saved to Confluence or Google Drive with proper permissions.

Calendar of events (in a nutshell):

June-end of term retrospectives due by June meeting, new cohort notified of acceptance to Council

July-typically a slow month for Councils. Subteams may or may not meet. Subteam leads should create new wiki space for term. Look out for Doodles! New Member Orientation.

August/September-Council and subteams begin meetings again. Begin drafting workplans and setting goals

October-Joint TAC/UAC meeting, present workplans
