Welcome to the new term/new group!

Orientations and other getting-the-term-started activities

  • Code of Conduct presentation?

All

Groups are on track with beginning-of-term tasks. Most new members will be able to attend the new member orientation live, but it will be recorded for those who can’t.

Code of Conduct:

  • Currently waiting on CSCCE to draft a final version of the core values statement and a slide deck presenting about the review

  • Review period will likely occur in August, so we should probably bring it to the individual council meetings instead of the joint meeting in September

  • Mary will reach out to CSCCE for timeline and if they will present

Initial discussion of goals for this group this term

All

  • Soliciting Vice Leads earlier in the term, emphasizing and providing pathways to leadership

  • Looking for additional ways to engage in UAC meetings, but also being open to defining/setting expectations for engagement differently depending on the group

  • Repeating (or having other kinds of) conversation with the developers

Anything else?

Christine will post the dates for the quarterly Board meetings for the term, with the corresponding deadlines for Chairs to send her the quarterly reports. (see 2024/2025 Governance Board dates and report deadlines )

Maggie can make herself available to attend some Council meetings though not necessary to do the full slate - it may be valuable for her to do a presentation about the Board/Board role with the Councils at a future meeting.
