Changes to subteam & program composition

Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed) to lead Committer's Oversight sub-team. Terry has stepped down as lead, Rachel has joined the group (Bug Wranglers is folded in), new TAC member Dustin Stokes has also joined the group.

What does the ASpace developer community need most at this stage?

Top priority remains Github re-org

      • ACTION - Laney to polish Github re-org proposal and send to Committer Oversight with draft of proposed email to be sent to listservs for review
      • ACTION - All to review and provide feedback on re-org proposal

Second priority is establishment of core committers group and policy and processes to support it

After these pieces of work are complete, group will reflect on its ongoing role and responsibilities in the community, e.g. it probably makes more sense for core committers to review pull requests than this group, etc.

Other ASpace developer community needs:

    • Clarifying where you look for bugs - e.g. issues encountered at Atlas - documentation page on the wiki may be improved
      • 2 different bug lists - JIRA & Github
      • How do users generally submit bugs?
    • Communication issues - sprawling documentation - this is really hard and no one has really cracked it



Actions: 

  • Laney McGlohon (Unlicensed) to polish GitHub re-org proposal & draft email for listservs and circulate to Committer's Oversight sub-team for review
  •  Committer oversight sub-team members to review the proposal with 1 - 2 weeks after Laney's sent it out and provide feedback
