User Documentation Sub-team 2022-2023 Retrospective

Accomplishments:

  • Created documentation for the Make Representative function, Spawning Archival Objects from an Accession, and Navigating a Resource Record Tree

  • Continued a systematic review of help center pages, completed reviewing and updating pages in the Managing Digital Object Records and Managing User Accounts and User Permissions.

  • Began work on a comprehensive list of fields that do and do not publish in the PUI.

  • Met with Tech Docs to discuss overlaps between groups and how we might work together in the future.

  • Led a discussion on User Documentation at the January UAC meeting

  • Teamed up with Tech Docs to present a session at the 2023 Virtual Member Forum

Priorities for next term:

  • Identify a vice-lead for the term.

  • Continue systematic review of Help Center pages, updating pages as needed

  • Continue to find ways to work with Tech Docs and other teams.

  • Complete work on the comprehensive list of fields that do and do not publish in the PUI
