2018-2019 Integrations sub-team Work Plan

The 2018-2019 Integrations sub-team plans to build on the work it completed during its 2017-2018 year. This plan is a work and progress and our main goals are to :

  • review and update our documentation to better meet the integrations landscape in 2018-2019;
  • work with ArchivesSpace leadership to provide educational outreach opportunities;
  • provide guidance throughout the integrations process with our ArchivesSpace expertise and knowledge; 
  • better serve the larger ArchivesSpace community by interacting with different audiences; and
  • continue tracking new integrations.


As the new year starts, the integrations sub-team is going to take a look at our current ArchivesSpace documentation and update them as necessary:

  • Build out documentation to further aid ArchivesSpace community members with their integration needs.
  • Perform documentation review of current documentation.
  • Update ArchivesSpace Integrations webpage to include more integrations.
  • Create list of existing documentation.


Additionally, the Integrations sub-team would like to help stimulate and facilitate new integrations work by:

  • Connecting community members interested in working on like systems with each other.
  • Help facilitate work on upcoming ILS/Alma integrations work.
  • Reach out to the communities of other systems that AS users are interested in integrating with.
  • Invite integrations stakeholders to subteam meetings and update us on their work.


Given the advent of ArchivesSpace Labs, the Integrations team also sees the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to ongoing integration work (as it did for defining specifications for the ArchivesSpace Rights Module).
  • Work with Christine Kim to identify and execute ArchivesSpace Integration educational outreach opportunities.
