Program structure

Kansas City Regional Forum - November 2018 – this is just a starting page. We can restructure as needed.

Notes from last meeting:

• workshop 

• 2 workshops. one more development focused, one more working in the user interface

  • concurrent. api  /  basics – half day workshops

  • morning workshop idea

  • intro to aspace – we should say this is specific to resources or accessioning, or RDE, or data-cleanup can be a side thing

Program content brainstorming (presentations, workshop, etc.)

Notes from last meeting:

• basic understanding of github – necessary to do any development. basic overview.

• what institutions are doing with the PUI. especially institutions that are not harvard/yale.

  • no regional aggregator

  • KCAA is more of a networking and development organization

  • outside of kansas city. in arkansas, regional archivists form 7 institutions using ASpace.

  • each institution is using their own pui.

  • arkansas export data into local consortium.

• some KC institutions are members of aspace or getting started – introductory starting path would be a draw

• implementation buddies – some engagement with that at the forum would be good
