The release candidate for 2.8 is about to be made available.  Now is the time for the team to begin drafting new help center pages and editing those that need it.  

You can test the new features and take screenshots for documentation by using the test server, test.archivesspace.org.  Username and password are both admin. 

Needs editing:

  1. /wiki/spaces/ArchivesSpaceUserManual/pages/892239901 - This page needs a good bit of editing with improved screenshots all around and a deeper look at global, repository and user preferences.  It is pretty limited and old right now and several updates to preferences are part of 2.8.
    1. Users will now be able to select their preferred language in the SUI via user preferences.  The ticket for this is at  ANW-930 - Getting issue details... STATUS .
    2. Browsing preferences have also been updated for global, repository and user preferences and will need to be updated to reflect the added fields and new screen shots.  The tickets for this are at  ANW-929 - Getting issue details... STATUS , ANW-741 - Getting issue details... STATUS ,  ANW-540 - Getting issue details... STATUS ,  ANW-215 - Getting issue details... STATUS ,  ANW-216 - Getting issue details... STATUS
  2. Importing Agent records pages about the LCNAF plugin needs to be edited to reflect changes in how the plugin operates.  OCLC is no longer available on the plugin imports both agents and subjects.  It will need revision and new screenshots.  Page is at /wiki/spaces/ArchivesSpaceUserManual/pages/894533770.  Relevant ticket is at  ANW-148 - Getting issue details... STATUS .

  2. Load via spreadsheet (Harvard Import Tool) is now core code!!  ANW-386 - Getting issue details... STATUS  (the pages for this have already been written so this can already be check off!)

Drafts need to be in for review in the next 2 weeks.

Not much to report!  Outline started, but still need to make more decisions for approval by the full committee.  High priority for next fiscal year.  ARKs are a potentially good source because this was created in Confluence.  Each group member should take a section to write to keep moving on this.
