Submission to Integrations with ArchivesSpace form
Planned integration without a lot of current info
Do we add it now or keep tabs on it until it’s ready? We don’t currently have any planned integrations on list.
Randy: We could add a section for “Planned Integrations” and keep tabs on it as it goes along.
Andrew: Might be good to make it clear who is planning to do it. Is this some library or is it Starchive?
Dallas will follow up and add a section.

Next steps
Andrew is having a meeting with Cambridge folks about integrations they are working on in the next month or so
Impression he got was that they officially migrated to ArchivesSpace just last week, so they’ve been quite busy.
Sent an email to folks in the UK and in Europe asking about Integrations. got one response from University of Edinburgh. They mentioned Goobi. Apparently a plugin that can access ArchivesSpace API and pull in information. Can get back and ask for a bit more info and add it to the list.
Randy can talk to dev. pri. What they’ve done with other groups is set up tags for tickets that might be appropriate for another group to review. Has not really found tickets in the past that relate to other systems. It’s easy enough to set up and there’s no harm in it.
Dan and Randy talked about it and essentially decided that, for any subgroup, they would just add tags as necessary. If and/or when a ticket comes up that would benefit from input from any other subteam, they would create a tag and contact them and walk through the process. As needed sort of thing.
Dallas will ask Jessica about any possible involvement in the “Integrations with ArchivesSpace” webinar series
Join the ArchivesSpace Technical Advisory Council's Integrations Sub-team for a discussion highlighting the role this team plays in supporting the ArchivesSpace community by documenting the integration of systems with the ArchivesSpace application. Those with a current or potential integration they'd like to bring to the team's attention or those with questions about the Integration sub-team's role are encouraged to attend.
Discussion thoughts and ideas
Any presentations we’ve been involved in in the past? Doesn’t hurt to remind people who we are, what we do, why we’re around. Rounding off with, are there any ideas for improvements we could make.
What would people like to see? Would be good to have a couple of examples on hand.
Webinars? Mailer of some sorts?
We could take an approach where we address different sized institutions or those with varying resources. How could we benefit institutions that don’t have a lot of technical help? How could we help institutions that have a hosted version of ArchivesSpace? How could we help institutions that have a lot of technical expertise on scene? Could be really interesting to get involved with. Something that might help other institutions. We tend to build very very specific integrations/plug ins/etc.
What challenges have you had planning or developing an integration?
What challenges have you had implementing an existing integration developed by some other institution or organization?
Are we meeting the needs of the community?
Randy happy to help. Will be in the dev pri session just prior.
