2018-2019 Migrations sub-team retrospective

A retrospective proved challenging for the Migrations sub-team for this past year. We found that groups from previous years had accomplished much of what the Migrations sub-team had been charged to do. It was difficult for us to gain traction on with our workplan goals. This led to a discussion during the TAC 2018-2019 retrospective meeting about what happens when a sub-team outlives their usefulness or charge, and how should we re-imagine them or integrate parts of their charge into remaining sub-teams. Would some projects be better served by a special project team?
What we did well
- Participating in listserv discussions on migration issues, offering advice.
- We did identify an area of need for the ArchivesSpace community (updating import/export maps), and this is work that should/will continue
What we could do better
- More regular communication/meetings. Meetings became sporadic by the end of the term
