Follow up on Member Match event | Hi everyone, I just finished a meeting with the Member Engagement Subteam. We would like to move forward with the "Show Me Your User Doc" program for Member Match program participants. We envision this event would include an overview of the User Manual on Confluence (ideally presented by a member of the Subteam), maybe some examples of how User Doc members utilize the manual in their work, and then we would open up the floor for participants to do some "show-and-tell." This event will be a 1 hr-long Zoom meeting. It will not be recorded. Jessica will take notes and compile any resources presenters agree can be shared publicly on Confluence. We would like to host this event in early November. Prospective dates are November 2, 4, or 9 at 1pm or 2pm ET. There is no pressure to participate, since this is a Member Engagement event. We would love to have other members of User Docs (besides myself) contribute or at least attend. If you are available and willing to present on the ArchivesSpace User Manual or your institution's user manual, please email me your interest and availability on the dates and times above by next Wednesday, September 29. | Discussed feedback from UAC/TAC meeting suggesting adding statement about ongoing editing project to User Manual landing page. Team agreed current wording sufficient, expressed concern about sounding like engaging in concentrated overhaul of manual and that future iterations of the team may decide to pursue other avenues of work and that added statement might become outdated. |
