  • Can’t nest an unpublished page within an unpublished page

  • Don’t use “Copy” to make a new page to edit if the pages you’re revising have versioned children pages

  • Verify accuracy of screenshots and create new ones if updates are needed

  • Look out for links to other pages being updated and note those in the spreadsheet so all links can be updated

• Draft pages not visible unless you own them or they are shared with you. Kelly will start an email for people to send links to their draft pages so we can all see them.

• Locations page will be moved to Managing Containers and not be included under Shared Sub-Records

• SUI: Keep track of the pages you work on and any links in them; track pages to be deleted

Style Guide

Tables vs. lists for descriptions of fields: Usage and formatting

Consensus that tables are easier to view. This will be added to the Style Guide with rough guidelines for standardization of tables, including column titles. Additionally, a suggestion will be added to the User Manual Review guide to convert existing lists to tables when reviewing pages.

  • Added language to clarify the ID’s in this importer (Top Container ID, Container Profile ID, and Location ID) are only ID’s and not URI’s

  • Question about testing whether this importer can’t link top containers in a repository other than the repository you are working in [Bring this to Testing Sub-Team?]

• Controlled Value Lists

  • From User Manual: Configurable controlled value lists can be modified; values can be added, edited, merged or deleted by System Administrators, Repository Managers, or Project Managers.”

    “I did some testing and confirmed that repository managers and projects managers of specific repositories can indeed make changes to configurable controlled values, AND that these changes will show up throughout the application and in other repositories, even if the repository manager and project manager does not have permission to edit/view another repository in the same instance.”

  • Does language need to be added to clarify that controlled value lists are shared across all repositories?

• Group agreed to adding language to clarify controlled value lists are shared across all repositories. Kelly sent Elizabeth (watcher of the section) the background information to make that addition. (Info note/language was added and screenshots cleaned up.)

• Group agreed to bring the idea of sending additional testing requests to the Testing Sub-Group. Testing has a larger member base, more experience with all sections of ArchivesSpace, and typically doesn't have a heavy workload after a release. This is also a good opportunity for cross-collaboration. Jessica will discuss the idea with Christine.
